Price of chicken meat keeps increasing, while granulated sugar declines

Data from the Department of Industry and Trade (DPP) of Pekanbaru recorded that now broiler chicken meat is IDR 22,000 to IDR 24 thousand per kg. While on Monday, the price of broiler chicken was still IDR 20 thousand per kg.

 

Then the price of red chili also rose from IDR 30 thousand to IDR 35 thousand per kg. Whereas granulated sugar dropped from IDR 11 thousand to IDR 9,500 per kg.

 

While red onions remain IDR 20 thousand per kg, garlic IDR 20 thousand per kg, beef IDR 120 thousand per kg, and chicken eggs IDR 1,500 per item.

 

The Head of the Trade Division of the Pekanbaru DPP, Juarman said that the movement of basic food prices is still reasonable. "At the moment, prices that rise like broiler chicken meats are still reasonable. Not too turbulent. So there is no need to worry" he said.

 

Juarman said that the public did not need to worry because it continued to carry out supervision. "We monitor every day, so the speculators don't try to play on prices" he said.
