News24xx.com -  With age, all of us want to look young and healthy. If you want to slow your ageing process, then you need to incorporate a few daily habits into your routine.

Here are five daily habits that will keep you looking young:

1. Lift some weights
If you want your body to look firm and not get loose over the years, then resistance training needs to be a part your routine. Weight training can help rejuvenate and maintain body's muscles.

For this, you don't have to start with heavy weights. You can incorporate light weights and when it gets simple, increase the weights and reps. To make the most of it, focus on the entire body while weight training.

2. Add protein to your diet
Less protein intake can increase the muscle loss in the body. After the age of 50, your body would need more protein than you were having before. Ideally, our body needs 0.8 grams of protein per kilogram in general.

3. Have healthy three meals
To keep yourself young and healthy, add protein to all the three meals of the day. Instead of having protein just for dinner, try to incorporate the daily protein intake in your breakfast, lunch and dinner.

4. Keep your Vitamin D in check
This 'sunshine vitamin' can make a lot of difference in your body. If you are low on Vitamin D, then you need to make sure you get enough sun or add Vitamin D tablets in your diet. It can help to keep bones healthy and even muscle wasting in check, which is the loss of muscle tissue.

5. Add antioxidants in your diet
Green tea is loaded with antioxidants and is known to have many benefits, from boosting metabolic rate to improving physical performance. You can also add pomegranate to your diet, which is high in antioxidants. From protecting skin to fighting free radicals, you must add antioxidants to your diet.
