At that time, the teenager was on her way to a test-preparation course in Mahendragarh when she was abducted from a bus stop on Wednesday.

The girl is believed to accepted water from them,  when they offered it to her. She was then driven to a house about 25 miles away. There, a number of other men arrived and the gang then took it in turns to rape her.

According to The Times of India, Saturday, Sept, 15 2018, the girl was dumped back to the bus stop, with one of the men phoning her family to tell them to collect her.

She was taken to a hospital by her families.

The mother of the girl told, "She has severe pain in her throat, and is unable to talk or swallow anything. They probably held her by the throat, which led to this pain."

According to doctor, the victimwas treated for injuries to her back, shoulders and genitals.

Police officer Ashwini Kumar said the 19-year-old victim was in a stable condition following the attack. He added that police know the identity of the suspects, who had switched off their phones and were evading arrests, and have released pictures of three of them in an attempt to find them. The three have been identified as Pankaj, Nishu and Manish. No arrests have yet been made.

While the government of Indi has passed a series of laws increasing punishment for rape of an adult to 20 years in prison, it’s rare for more than a few weeks to pass without another brutal sexual assault.

Responding to widespread outrage over the recent rape and killings of young girls and other attacks on children, India’s government in April approved the death penalty for people convicted of raping children under age 12. India has been shaken by a series of sexual assaults since 2012, when a young woman was fatally gang-raped on a moving New Delhi bus
