News24xx.com - Los Angeles woman named Sydney Smith is obsessed with having a long neck like a giraffe. As reported by the Viral Thread, she put a row of rings on her neck with the hope that it would make her neck longer like a giraffe.

Sydney Smith has been trying to stretch her neck for five years due to her obsession with giraffes. This 31-year-old woman wants to be known throughout the world because of her long and abnormal neck. However, she has now surrendered to his dream after removing the tight neck ring she has been wearung continuously for five years.

Smith was originally inspired by Kayan people in Southeast Asia, who are famous for their unusually long necks. Kayan women began wearing neck rings at the age of five to build their cultural identity.

However, Smith's decision to remove the ring wrapped around her neck came after she began to feel isolated. Living in United States, and wearing rings around her neck made Smith really feel uncomfortable.

"As a long neck woman with fifteen rings wrapped around my neck, I can't function properly in the United States. Unless you are willing to completely isolate yourself and be able to not have to leave the house, no need to drive, then maybe you can do it" Smith explained. "I spent five years living with rings around my neck and I became a very closed and isolated person. I felt like the rings were taking over my life in everything.”
