Hotspot in Sumatra appears in Riau and Aceh

News24xx.com - Thursday, September 20th, 2018, Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) recorded hotspots still exist on island of Sumatra. One of them is hotspot in Riau Province.

As said by Head of Information Section of the BMKG Station Pekanbaru, Marzuki. "Sumatra Hotspot with a confidence level of over 50 percent there are 2 points spread in Aceh and Riau, each one point. Riau Hotspot comes from Indragiri Hilir. It's just for hotspots with a confidence level above 70 percent nil" he said.

As for the air temperature of 33.5 degrees Celsius. "During the day the potential for light rain is local in parts of Kuansing, Indragiri Hilir and Meranti Islands" said Marzuki.

It's just that the nighttime potential is moderate to heavy rain. "Rain can flush in parts of Kampar, Rohul, Rohil, Kuansing, Inhil, Pekanbaru, Bengkalis and Pelalawan" he said.

With air humidity of 50 - 96 percent and Southeast - Southwest wind with the speed 09 - 27 km/hour.
