Marvel is making a solo comic for Killmonger, Black Panther's rival

News24xx.com - Marvel Comics wants to continue to develop the universe of every character that appears in the film. Now one of the characters in the film 'Black Panther' Killmonger will be adapted into a solo comic.

Written by Brian Edward Hill and illustrated by Juan Ferreyra, Killmonger will become a five-part miniseries comic that explores the life story of Erik Killmonger. In the film 'Black Panther', he is the strongest rival of King T'Challa.

In an interview with Vulture, as reported by detikHOT, comic writer Edward Hill compared it to Evan Narcisse's 'Rise of Black Panther' miniseries. "I want to write a story whose failure led to dedicating life to Wakanda" Hill said.

He added, "This is the story of a man who failed a lot on Wakanda, because for me the iconic fight between Erik Killmonger and T'Challa was tragic. That's something that shouldn't have happened."

The 'Killmonger' comic is the latest Marvel comic that focuses on characters in the film 'Black Panther'. T'Challa's sister, Shuri, will also be adapted to a solo comic published later this year. 'Killmonger # 1' will be published on December 5th in the US.
