News24xx.com -  After kept her 30 dogs in filthy conditions, a pet owner named Elaine Erskine, 58 was jailed. She was sentenced to 14 weeks after an investigation by the Scottish SPCA. And the unemployed Erskine was banned from owning animals for life, after admitting causing unnecessary suffering under section 19 of the Animal Health & Welfare (Scotland) Act 2006 at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on October 2.

Before, her three starving animals were put to sleep. Her dogs, German Shepherds, Rosie and Arti so malnourished they were on the brink of death in a house which was unfit for human or dog inhabitation.

Horror photographs show the floor of the house in Kilmarnock, East Ayrshire, coated with animal waste and piles of rubbish.

The flooring was not visible due to the amount of rubbish and faeces, and the smell of ammonia was overpowering.

The Jack Russell was in a horrendous state. She had wounds to both back legs and the bones in both legs were clearly visible, was extremely emaciated and in a great deal of pain and distress.

Two adult German shepherds, Rosie and Arti, were found in a small porch area where they were being housed. Both of these dogs were emaciated and on the brink of death.

Rosie was unable to even lift her head and both dogs had open sores and were extremely distressed, covered entirely in faeces and urine with mounds of faecal material and urine fluids in a pool below and around them.
