Singapore airlines will have its first non-stop flight from Singapore to New York

News24xx.com - A number of airlines, such as Air India, open non-stop flights by traveling from Delhi to San Francisco as far as 15,128 kilometers in 2015. This step was followed two years later by flights from Auckland, New Zealand to Doha and Dubai.

Now, only six months after Qantas Airways operates flights from Perth to London, Singapore Airlines opens non-stop flights to New York. The flight will start operating on Thursday, October 11th 2018, as quoted from Bloomberg.

Direct flights from Singapore to New York will take almost 19 hours with a distance of 15,357 kilometers, making it the longest air flight in the world. In November 2018, non-stop flights from Los Angeles to Singapore are also open to the public.This long-haul flight can be re-realized thanks to technological advances, and the emergence of travel-time-saving aircraft that can bring more fuel in one trip.

The Airbus jet that will be used in Singapore - New York flights has a capacity of 161 passengers, without economy class. The aircraft has a wider space, complete with 67 seats for business class and 94 premium economy seats on the rear. Seats in the premium economy class can be stretched as far as 20 centimeters, with each seat is 10 centimeters wider than other long-haul flights.
