News24xx.com -  Horror, a military jet flew just metres from high-rise buildings during a major festival abd made many onlookers were terrified. Office workers in some of the skyscrapers could be heard shouting when the plane thundered past their windows.

The Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) flew their plane, the Boeing C-17 Globemaster just 100 metres off the ground in what some people have called as the real 9/11.

Then, the plane flies through the city, and at the very last minute to avoid the buildings.

When, some people took to Twitter to praise the skill of the pilots, saying the stunt must have taken a great deal of planning, there are some others weren’t so impressed, branding it as unnecessarily stupid thing and dangerous.

They wrote,

@frans_smith, "I mean it’s cool and stuff, but that could’ve gone very, very, VERY wrong"

And another added, "Unless both pilots had a synchronised heart attack or catastrophic plane failure, nobody was in any danger."

And another responded, "No need to fly that close to buildings where people live/work etc."

Before the act, the RAAF had announced the flypast, as part of the iconic Riverfire festival. The event happens every September to celebrate the end of Queensland’s three week arts and cultural festival with a day-long concert.

There are also aerobatics and flypasts from the Australian Defence Force.
