Status in WhatsApp will be filled up with ads to ease the SMEs

News24xx.com - Ad placement on WhatsApp has been a major conversation lately, and now it has been reported that WhatsApp for Android version 218.305, the latest beta version has accepted the implementation of ads in the Status section, as reported by NDTV, 8 October 2018 ago.

 

The Wall Street Journal in August also revealed that advertisements would be served via WhatsApp Status starting next year.

 

He stated that this advertisement will be supported by the Facebook advertising system and will help familiarize users with the business on WhatsApp.

 

The WhatsApp beta editor, WABetalnfo, reported that WhatsApp implemented an ad for the Status feature on WhatsApp beta for Android version 218.305.

 

This feature is said to be currently disabled. and not visible to users, even though the report claims to be activated in the future.

 

Serving ads through WhatsApp Status can be useful for Facebook, WhatsApp's parent company, because the status feature has reached a benchmark of 450 million daily active users.

 

Currently, WhatsApp status allows users to share lots of short photos or videos that remain in a separate section of the application for 24 hours.

 

Facebook also offers an option to allow users to see how many contacts they have seen their status. This is something that can give advertisers a way to track their ads too.

 

Originally inspired by Snapchat Stories. WhatsApp status was launched in February last year. A recent Wall Street Journal report stated that the Facebook-owned company would bring new types of advertising to allow users to easily send text messages to companies via WhatsApp for each customer service question.

 

Nearly 100 companies have reportedly tested features focused on advertising, including Uber and Singapore Airlines. And WhatsApp also has a special business application available on the Android and iOS platforms for small and medium businesses (SMEs) and has more than three million users
