News24xx.com - The Bosphorus Strait is the most popular area in Turkey. From the edge of the strait, tourists can gaze at the scenery towards Europe and Asia which is split by sea. Many luxury hotels and houses stand along Bosphorus Strait. Since time immemorial, this area has indeed become a settlement of rich people.

But today there are many wealthy Turks who sell their properties on the banks of Bosphorus Strait. The reason is because of the economic crisis that is sweeping the country. One building is sold starting from USD 100 million. This price can be added with a bonus of having a Turkish passport.

Property brokers in Istanbul say that to this day there are 600 property units on the banks of the Bophorus Strait, as many as 60 units are sold. The broker went on to say that the most potential buyers are wealthy people from Qatar, neighboring Turkey.

"The weakened Lira currency makes Istanbul a haven for moneyed people from the Arabian Land" said Hamed Elhamian, Director of Sales at ANKA Invest, as quoted by AFP on Wednesday, October 10th 2018. "They believe that Lira will strengthen and its investment in property will be very profitable" he continued.
