News24xx.com - There was an incident of misdirection carried out by two US-led coalition jet fighters bombing Syrian Kurdish troops.

The mistaken target of the incident occurred near the town of Hajin in the eastern region of Deir ez-Zor Province. As a result, as many as six people were killed and 15 others were injured. Reuters reported on Wednesday, October 17th 2018. The incident not only disrupted the operations of Kurdish forces, but also reportedly caused a lot of defection in SDF ranks.

Even worse, the incident caused terrorists to seize several areas in the area. "These facts show that US policy in Syria has failed the same as in neighboring Iraq, because it does not solve the problem but only creates a new one for the whole region" the source said.

The US-led coalition has not commented on reports of bombings by the two F-15 fighter jets. So did the response from the Pentagon.

Quoted from RIA news, on October 18th 2018, diplomatic and military sources in Syria said the incident occurred due to lack of coordination and US professionalism.

The Russian Defense Ministry reports that ISIS militants have attacked a refugee camp in the province of Deir ez-Zor and have taken hundreds of people hostage. About 700 people were kidnapped and taken to Hajin, which lies in a 20-kilometer area along the eastern bank of the Euphrates River.

The Kurdish forces which are part of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), one of the Syrian rebel factions, are said to be US allies in the war against Islamic State or ISIS in Syria.
