Thirsty, passenger drank water in the bottle which contained the urine of his Uber driver

News24xx.com - DiDi Chuxing is a very popular Uber-like service in China. Recently a DiDi Chuxing passenger experienced bad luck because he mistook the contents of a drink bottle. Quoted from Next Shark, October 12th 2018, the passenger who was called Sun felt thirsty while in the car. Without thinking he took a drink that was available in a special place to put a bottle in the car.

Sun felt that there was nothing wrong with his actions, considering DiDi's drivers often provided free drinks as part of their service. However, only taking a sip of the drink, Sun immediately knew what he was drinking, it was not water but the driver's urine.

Afraid of losing his job, the driver begged Sun not to report it to DiDi. He even offered money as an apology. Sun refused the driver's request and reported this incident to DiDi. Soon, DiDi immediately released a general apology.

DiDi explained that the driver could not find the toilet while on the trip so he had to pee in the bottle. But he carelessly put the bottle in the place of the drink. "We apologize for this unfortunate incident, and we ask passengers and drivers to conduct a physical examination" wrote DiDi. The driver must be willing to be temporarily suspended.

They continued, "The Toilet Locator feature in DiDi application is used every day by more than 30 thousand drivers. We will continue to improve and expand the reach of the Locator from the help of our passengers and partners." Meanwhile, it is unknown whether Sun received money compensation for this incident or not.
