News24xx.com - Recently, the state of Florida in United States experienced the most severe storm ever hit the region. Hurricane Michael was the cause of the disaster which caused massive flooding so many houses were flooded.

Interestingly, there is one unique phenomenon that occurred after a typhoon that had wind speeds of up to 250km / hour swept the Panhandle region, Florida, USA. It is a purple sky that becomes an odd sight after a storm had disappeared.

"When Sun shone the Earth, most color spectrum can reach the surface without interference" said Lauren Rautenkranz, a local meteorologist. "But colors that have shorter wave lengths, namely blue and purple, come spread in all directions. The light bounces from particles to particles until they finally reach the eye. But the sky does not appear purple and blue (simultaneously) because of the limitations of our eyes."

"After the storm, the conditions are very supportive of purple to appear out. The air contains large amounts of hydrogen, the dew point of the air reaches 75 degrees, the sun had set, and the typhoon cloud is still quite low above the ground" he explained.
