Because eloping with girl from other village, a youth was abducted and tortured

News24xx.com -  A youth named Naresh Damor, a resident of Havdi village of Pratapgarh district, was abducted from Peepalkhunt village on Wednesday night, October 17 2018 when he was watching Garba with his friends. 

They forcibly took him away in a car to Vilvapada village in Banswara, where they tied him to a pillar and tortured him by a group of villagers.

The reason of that incident because he had eloped with a girl from their village and the couple was living together for some time.  The villagers were angry with the boy because he taking away a girl from their area. 

The group of villagers beat him mercilessly and when police came to free the victim, they pelted stones on them and attacked the cops. 

"They opposed the police team also, but were convinced and pacified later. We have arrested the accused men who abducted and thrashed the youth," Banswara SP KR Rawat told as quoted from TOI, October 18 2018.

Two policemen, including head constable Kanhaiyalal, were injured and were taken to Khamera hospital for treatment. 

The victim could be released only on Thursday morning when additional force led by DYSP Pravin Sunda, arrived on the spot and freed the youth. 

Khamera police took the victim to Peepalkhunt station where the youth said that the girl had come to live with him on her own will and they were happily living in Udaipur.

Naresh had come to his village to meet his family and had gone to see the Garba show when a few men from Vilvapada carried him away.

Until now, police have arrested four persons for breaching peace and for assault.
