News24xx.com - It has been so long since Jet Li appears in movies. However, in April 2018, he confirmed that he will act again in one of Disney’s live action film projects, “Mulan”.
 

As cited from Sindonews, Jet Li will play the role of the Emperor of China, who orders every family to send one man to go to war in “Mulan” live action. Of course he did not accept this role right away.
 

At first, the 55-year-old actor had no intention to play in this film, because the script and the payment did not interest him. However, Jet Li then reconsidered it and decided to take the role because of his youngest daughter, Jada Li. She wants her father to star in this film. “My 15-year-old daughter asked me, ‘Do you lack money? If you don’t lack money and there is a company like Disney who wants to make a film with Chinese background, why don’t you join?’” Jet Li said.

What Jada said next made him change his mind: “Can you play in this film for me?” Jada asked at that time.
 

Before Jet could reply, his other daughter started to add to her sister’s comment: “Do it for both of us.”
 

After that, Jet accepted the offer of playing in this film. “Mulan” will be released in 2020. Other than Jet Li, there is Gong Li that will play the antagonist, Liu Yifei that will play Mulan and Donnie Yen that will play Mulan’s mentor.
