Twitter releases 10 million tweets which had influenced public around the world

News24xx.com - Twitter has just released about 10 million tweets which had influenced public and political discourse in various parts of the world. As quoted from The Verge, Thursday. October 18th 2018, the tweets arose between 2013 and 2018.

Mentioned in the report, nine million tweets were took sources from 3,800 different accounts affiliated with the Russian Internet Research Agency. Then, the last one million tweets were posted by 770 accounts which according to the company came from Iran. "It is very clear that information operations and coordinated inauthentic behavior will not stop" Twitter said.

According to the microbloging site, the practice already existed before Twitter existed. Twitter was also committed to continuing to combat the problem. "These types of tactics have been around much longer than the existing Twitter. They will adapt and change when the geopolitical field develops around the world and when new technologies emerge" Twitter continued.

Therefore, Twitter emphasized that it is committed to understanding how actors with bad influence utilize their services.
