News24xx.com - Israel will impose a ban on diesel and gasoline cars starting in 2030. This rule will lead to a new chapter, namely the emergence of environmentally friendly electric-powered cars. Israel's Minister of Infrastructure, Energy and Water Resources, Yuval Steinitz said that the regulation requires a number of car manufacturers to switch from conventional car engine suppliers to electric power.

"Starting in 2030, we will not allow the import of gasoline or diesel-powered vehicles into Israel. We are forcing companies to bring electric cars to Israel, and oil and gasoline providers to switch to electric charging stations" Steinitz said.

Steinitz added that the rules that are expected to be endorsed by the end of this year will be a big challenge for automotive manufacturers that market their vehicle products to Israel. "We have been convinced by funding the construction of an electric charging station, more than 2,000 new charging stations throughout the country" Steinitz explained.

He also explained that the Israeli government plans to reduce the electric car tax to zero percent to reduce the selling price of electric cars. This discourse is also for the acceleration of electric vehicles there. The Israeli government announced in August it has invested 25 million Shekels to establish a charging network of electric vehicles that would be spread across the country.
