News24xx.com - Indonesian National Police (Polri) gives instructions throughout its ranks to hold the Zebra Jaya Operation which starts on October 30th to November 12th 2018.

It has been five days since the Zebra 2018 Operation took place in several regions in Indonesia. And the violations that have been netted at the operation Zebra 2018 are not only in terms of completeness of the letter, but also in the condition and shape of the vehicle.

Various violations have been netted, as seen in the @tmcpoldamtero Instagram account, and a raid motorbike was also involved. Rust-colored choppeer motorcycles are secured by the police who hold Operation Zebra Jaya 2018 in the Jakarta area.

In the upload mentioned the vehicle that is not roadworthy and not equipped with documents will be dealt with firmly. For this reason, custom motorists must better understand the rules for modifying the motorbike.

Indeed, actually modifying the vehicle has rules. And in the use of modified motors there are also rules on public roads

The main thing that must be fulfilled so that the modified vehicle is not ticketed is all the completeness of the vehicle, including SIM, STNK, standard vehicle equipment such as mirrors, tires, license plates (TNKB) and exhaust.

All of the above are written in the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 22 Year 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation Article 285.

(1) Anyone who drives a Motorcycle on the Road that does not meet the technical and roadworthy requirements which include rear view mirror, horn, main lights, brake lights, direction lights, light reflectors, speed, exhaust and tire groove gauges as referred to in Article 106 paragraph (3) in conjunction with Article 48 paragraph (2) and paragraph (3) punishable by imprisonment for a maximum of 1 (one) month or a maximum fine of IDR 250,000.00 (two hundred fifty thousand Rupiah).

Like the discussion on President Joko Widodo's custom motorbike, Chopperland, many questioned the regulation of a custom motorbike's rules.

Responding to this, quoted from Gridoto.com, November 4th 2018 (4/11), Head of Sub-Directorate of Standardization Preventing and Acting on Police Headquarters of the Indonesian National Police, Police Commissioner Kingkin Winisuda explained, "A new modified motorbike can be used if it meets safety and road safety meet the applicable provisions or rules."

It is regulated in Article 1 number 12 PP No. 55 of 2012 concerning Vehicles, custom motorcycles must go through a type test because they change the technical specifications of the dimensions and carrying capacity of the motor. And if this is not done, there will be sanctions.

Referring to Article 277 of Law No. 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation, here are the rules:

"Everyone who inserts motorized vehicles, trailer trains, and carts into the territory of the Republic of Indonesia, makes, assembles, or modifies Motorized Vehicles which causes changes in type, trailer, carriage and special vehicles operated domestically that do not meet the obligation of type test as referred to in Article 50 paragraph (1) shall be punished with a maximum imprisonment of 1 (one) year or a maximum fine of Rp. 24,000,000.00 (twenty four million Rupiah)"
