A woman feeding her daughter with a bottle of wine and has sparked outrage public in Scotland

But. a footage show a woman feeding her little daughter from a bottle of wine. That video has sparked outrage after it was shared on social media. The six-second video was recorded in July this year in Lanarkshire, Scotland. 

Initially, the video was uploaded to Snapchat and then shared on Facebook by one of the woman’s followers, and has now been viewed hundreds of thousands of times. 

The video shows a woman in a pink top appearing to give a little girl a sip from a bottle of wine.  At the end of the clip the young girl appears to wipe her mouth before looking back at the woman. 

Someone claiming to know the woman involved saw the video on Snapchat was shared it on her own Facebook page. And the post has since gained hundreds of comments from horrified viewers, many of who branded the video ‘shocking’.

One user wrote, "I’m actually lost for words at that, it’s absolutely disgusting."

And other person commented: "Absolutely vile to do that to a child, poor little girl. Me heart breaks for her."

But there is no evidence to suggest what was inside the bottle being given to the little girl. 

Many of those commenting said the bottle may have simply contained juice or squash. 

One person wrote, "This isn’t wine as the child would obviously have a reaction to the taste which she didn’t."

"This is water or juice in this bottle and the mother is just looking for attention." other wrote.
