News24xx.com - A man in Australia is sentenced to 10 years in prison for helping his wife committed suicide. This is done by this man so he could get his wife's insurance money. As reported by AFP on Friday, November 2nd 2018, in a case called a local judge has created this precedent, Graham Morant (69) was found guilty of advocating and helping his wife, Jennifer, to commit suicide in 2014.

It is known that his wife has chronic back pain and depression. The wife was found dead in her car, with a note asking that she not be given CPR. In a trial held in Queensland, Morant was called to help his wife buy equipment from a hardware store to help her commit suicide.

It was revealed in the trial that Morant also encouraged his wife to end her life. Judge Peter Davis sentenced Morant to 10 years in prison at a hearing on Friday, November 2nd 2018 local time. In his decision, Judge Davis said Morant was the only heir to his wife's insurance and could potentially earn AUD 1.4 million for the death of his wife.
