Collaborating with investors, Indonesia will establish plane's tire manufacturer

News24xx.com - Cooperation carried out by Indonesia is paying off, and next year it is planned that the aircraft tire factory will be established in Indonesia.

 

The collaboration between PT Garuda Maintenance Facilities and AeoAsia cooperates with Chinese investors, namely China Communication Construction Company (CCCC) and tire companies from Europe or United States.

 

"The signing was done some time ago in Bali during a meeting with the IMF. This signing was carried out with CCCC which will inject USD 500 million in funds" GMF President Director Iwan Joeniarto said at a press conference in Tangerang on Tuesday, November 6th 2018, quoted from ini.com.

 

"The investor is China, the factory is planned in Indonesia. And America and Europe are third parties" he said.

 

Iwan revealed, GMF will develop tire retreading or coating with technology adopted from the European or American factory.

 

"We are cooperating with a well-known aircraft factory in the world that has a rating of retread aircraft tires, so the tires are not replaced recently" he said. However, he continued, not limited to tires only, cooperation will also be developed for engine maintenance and aircraft components.

 

GMF Business Director and Base Maintenance Tazar Marta Kuniawan also gave a statement about cooperation with China, not a strategic partner, but funding per project. "The value is various, there are many indirect areas running 500 million US dollar" he said.

 

And he said that next year the aircraft construction project could begin in Indonesia. "God willing, it will be carried out in Indonesia" he said.
