Initial investigations by local police found suspicious behavior of the baby's father. After being interrogated, the father finally admitted that he took the baby and threw it into a cliff at midnight.

The baby's father, with the surnamed Li, then took the police and health care workers to a cliff near the hospital which was the location where he thrown away the baby. The search was carried out by local authorities in the area of ??the cliff.

In his confession, Li called himself putting the baby in a nylon sack before throwing it into the cliff. The cliff slope was so steep that rescuers had to wear ropes as safety when searching.

After 12 hours of searching, the rescue team was able to hear the crying sound of the baby. Miraculously, the baby still alive with only minor injury, rescue team found the baby stuck on the branches of tree, and immediately rushed to hospital to be given the proper treatment
