News24xx.com - Not satisfied with having 125 customers, streaming site Netflix try to make their site more popular using animation as their main project. They will widen the universe of “Pacific Rim” and “Altered Carbon” by with their original anime project.

As a center of entertainment, you can find anything you want to watch on Netflix. From horror, drama, documentary to superhero films, everything exists on this site. This does not even count Netflix’s original films and series.

As the biggest continent on Earth, Asia becomes Netflix’s main target market. Therefore, this company from California is trying to attract more attention from Asian customers by increasing their anime contents. To this day, Netflix has made some original anime series, like “Devilman Crybaby”, “Aggretsuko”, and “B: The Beginning”.

Netflix has officially announced their new project to their Asian customers. “Pacific Rim” will be made into anime. It is headed by Craig Kyle and Greg Johnson, who had been involved in the production of “Thor: Ragnarok” (2017) and the series “X-Men: Evolution” (2000-2003).

For the anime version of “Altered Carbon”, Netflix has not yet chosen a director for this project. However, Dai Sato, the writer of the series “Cowboy Bebop” (1998-1999) had officially joined the production team.

There is still no information about the release schedule for the anime version of “Pacific Rim” and “Altered Carbon.”

The sequel of “Pacific Rim”, which was released in last March, was far from expectation. After being left by Idris Elba and Charlie Hunnam who played the main characters in the previous film, the sequel only earned USD 290 million. It was far from the income earned by the previous film, which was USD 411 million.
