Explosion shocked Russian security service complex, killed one person

News24xx.com - An explosion rocked the building of the Russian Security Service complex, the FSB, which is in the Arkhangelsk region of northern Russia. One person was reported killed and three others were injured in the explosion.

As reported by AFP on Wednesday, October 31st 2018, a local official said the explosion came from an explosive device inside the FSB building complex. A spokesman for the local governor, Artyom Botygin, said the explosion occurred on Wednesday , October 31st 2018 morning, around 09.00 local time.

The FSB building which was the location of the blast was in the center of Arkhangelsk, which is more than 1,000 kilometers north of the capital city of Moscow. "One person was killed and three others were rushed to the hospital" Botygin said. The situation surrounding this explosion and the cause of the explosion is still unknown.

The local governor, Igor Orlov, said it was too early to call this explosion as a suicide bombing. "The situation is very serious" he said. Orlov added that local authorities were still identifying the dead and were still investigating the type of explosives that exploded in this incident.
