Beware of strong winds and heavy rains flush down Riau this afternoon

News24xx.com - Tuesday, November 13, 2018, the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) reminded Riau citizens to be careful when doing activities outside the home. That is because it is predicted that this afternoon Riau could be hit by heavy rain which accompanied by strong winds.

This was conveyed by Head of Information Section (Kasi) BMKG Pekanbaru Station, Marzuki. "This afternoon there is the potential for heavy rain which can be accompanied by lightning and strong winds in parts of the cities of Dumai, Bengkalis, Rohil, and Inhil" he said.

 

The maximum air temperature can reach a maximum of 33 degrees Celsius. With air humidity of 56 - 98 percent and the wind varies, generally from West to Northwest with the speed of 09-27 km / hour.

Then the night tends to be bright cloudy. There is still the potential for light rain which is local in parts of Pelalawan, Siak and Meranti.

 

"For those of you who are active outdoors, the potential for heavy rain can be accompanied by strong winds and lightning occurring in the afternoon or evening and night or early morning" said Marzuki.

 

While for hotspot in Sumatra with a confidence level above 50 percent there is only 1 point. The hotspot is located in West Sumatra.
