Due to Indomie, famous instant noodle from Indonesia, numbers of vaccinated children rising up in Nigeria

News24xx.com - Nigeria is one country with a low coverage of polio immunization. One of the reasons is because the spread of the issue that vaccine can cause autism. To deal with this, Nigerian government together with The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) launched a new immunization strategy by utilizing Indomie, the famous instant noodles from Indonesia.

Reported by the Voice of Nigeria (VON) official news portal, the target of around 66,870 children can be vaccinated. "The government has provided Indomie to be distributed to children who have been vaccinated. The aim is to encourage parents to immunize their children" Director of Health Services Awaisu Ahmad Goronyo was quoted as saying on VON, Tuesday, November 11th 2018.

Quoted from the Daily Nigerian, the strategy of utilizing Indomie seems successful because one immunization officer claiming that many parents came to the immunization posts. "A lot of people came, Indomie packages became the main reason for parents to come to bring their children to be immunized" said Aliyu Abubakar from Sokoto area. "We even exceeded our daily target because there were too many children coming to be vaccinated" he concluded.
