News24xx.com - Many think that electric motorbikes are not suitable for rain. Because, such vehicles are considered more dangerous if exposed to water, especially through the rain and puddles after the rains

The motorbike with an electric vehicle was first published by Viar. And responding to this, PT Triangle Motorindo (Viar) Marketing Communication, Franky Osmond said that  the electric motorbike was specifically in the design of the company. The first issue, Viar Q1, is claimed to be very safe when exposed to water. It's just that there are still limits that must be considered.

"Our electric motorbike (Viar Q1) is safe when driving when it rains or breaks through water puddles because it uses the engine from Bosch which is claimed to have EP certification” Franky Osmond said, which quoted from liputan6.com, November 11th 2018.

"But there are still limits such as avoiding heavy rain and passing on high flood roads (water over the motorbike deck)" he said.

Because on the motorcycle dashboard, there is a terminal battery. So, to avoid things that are not desirable to remain restrained to bulldoze a high pool of water when using an electric motor

"The maximum height for an electric motor across a flood is the dashboard. So it should not exceed the dashboard. Because we are worried that the terminal battery is gonna get electric short. For the engine it doesn't matter" Franky said.

"Why can we say that? Because we have tried with 4 motors and passed a deep puddle of water, which is almost to the deck. And that is safe. After all, if the water is limited (until the deck) it's already quite high, 30 cm more. Ordinary motors are quite dangerous" he concluded.
