"We measure how much content (such as posts, pictures, videos or comments) that we delete because they conflict with our standards for terrorist propaganda, especially those related to ISIS, al-Qaeda and their affiliates" Facebook wrote in its official statement, such as quoted from CNBC, Friday, November 9th 2018.

More specifically, Facebook said that they deleted 1.9 million contents in the first quarter of 2018. Facebook explained that they were focused on removing terrorism content before being seen by many users. For this reason, Facebook managed to reduce the average time for how long the terrorism content was on the platform after users reported it. In the first quarter, the average time is 43 hours. But it fell to 22 hours in the second quarter and to 18 hours in the third quarter.
