News24xx.com -  Next year, we will no longer use the current kilo size.

On Friday (11/16), scientists will agree on a new way that the researchers say determines the weight of the mass in one kilo.

For more than 100 years, the size of the weight was made based on Le Grand Katau K Besar, a metal that determines the weight of one kilo.

Various scales ranging from those used in the kitchen to weight measurements in gyms all over the world are made based on metal standards stored in barber in Paris since 1889.

Various countries use the "kilogram prototype" which is different from the standard calibrated with metal in Paris. But scientists want to confirm this weight again.

That change will not interfere with our daily lives, but it is estimated that it will affect the industry and the world of science which requires definite measurement of weight.
Kilo is one of the seven basic measures used by the international unit system, International System of Units (SI).

Four sizes of weight - kilo, amperage (for electricity), kelvin (heat) and mole (particle size) - will be updated in weight conferences and measurements, General Conference on Weights and Measures (CGPM), at Versailles, west of Paris on Friday ( 11/16).
