GQ also responded to the issue. They say, if it's just an artistic choice. The design team was inspired by Virgil Abloh's handwriting, Louis Vuitton's artistic director and the figure behind Serena's athletic appearance. According to GQ, Virgil is known for liking to add quotes on his writing.

Serena has not yet responded to the GQ cover that is being discussed. But in a previous interview, he had expressed his feelings when called like men.
