Study: Cut your calories to makes you ageless
News24xx.com - According to the latest research, cutting calorie intake to 15 percent for two years can slow down the aging process.
The study, published in the Journal of Cell Metabolism, said that calorie intake also affects various risks of metabolic-related diseases. Including diabetes, cancer, and Alzheimer's which is one type of senility.
"Reducing calorie intake provides health benefits for everyone regardless of their current health status," said Leanne M Redman of Louisiana State University who conducted this study, quoted from CNN on Friday, November 23 2018.
Experiments in animals show that calorie restriction of up to 25 percent can increase age. That finding prompted Leanne to answer the questions of scientists, does the same thing apply to humans?
"So we cannot conclude that this change is related in a way to reduced aging," he explained.
