News24xx.com -  Miracle, a team of astronomers has found the farthest object in the Solar System.

This is the first object with a distance of more than 100 times the Sun-Earth that was successfully detected.

The researchers were Scott Sheppard (Carnegie Institution for Science), David Tholen (University of Hawaii), and Chad Trujilo (Northern Arizona University). They named the findings as 2018 VG18, with the nickname Farout, as stated on the official website of the Carnegie Institution for Science.

The distance between the Earth and this object is in the range of 120 AU (astronomical units). Just for info, 1 AU is equivalent to the distance between this Blue Planet and the Sun, or about 150 million kilometers. So you can imagine how far Farout is.

As another comparison, Pluto is only 34 AU, which makes 2018 VG18 3.5 times farther than the Solar System's most prominent dwarf planet.

Previously, the status of the farthest object in the Solar System was held by Eris who was as far as 96 AU from Earth.

This finding itself stems from a search for candidates for Planet X or Planet Ninth. 2018 VG18 is not the only outermost object in the Solar System that they found.

The research team also found the 2015 TG387 which was nicknamed The Goblin. The distance is around 80 AU from Earth.

In addition, in 2014, they also discovered 2012 VP113 with the nickname Biden, which was almost 84 AU from Blue Plane.
