Wanna One will be disbanded on 31th December 2018

News24xx.com -  After months of confusion over the fate of the KPopWanna One boyband contract, the Swing Entertainment agency has announced that the group will be disbanded on December 31, 2018 and there is no contract extension. 

The announcement was conveyed by Swing Entertainment in a statement released on Tuesday, December 18 2018.

In his statement, Swing Entertainment also said it would continue to accompany Wanna One until their last promotion in January would be a final concert. 

"Hello, this is Swing Entertainment. We are writing this to inform you that December 31, 2018 is the date the Wanna One contract expires," the agency was quoted from Newsen via Naver.

"During the period after the contract ends, we will manage the official activities of Wanna One, which has been previously scheduled, such as the award ceremony, and closed by the concert next January," the statement continued regarding Wanna One disbanding. 

"We want to thank 11 members of Wanna One, who to all parties have shown their best for the past year, from August 2017 to the present," the agency said.

The agency also expressed their gratitude to all staff who helped manage the boy band. Also, to the fan. 

"We also sincerely thank local and world fans who have loved Wanna One and [we] ask for support and congratulations from you for the members who will carry out the promotion period and start their new journey. Thank you," said Swing Entertainment.
