News24xx.com - Paris Saint-Germain defender and captain, Thiago Silva suffered bad luck after his home in Paris was broken into by a thief in the Ligue 1 matches against Nantes on Saturday, December 22nd 2018. Quoted from Marca, L'Equipe reported that Silva's house was burglarized despite having a tight system and security. Silva's house is in the 16th Arrondissement, Paris, a luxury area with a high level of security.

Total losses suffered by Silva reached EUR 1 million after a number of valuable items were stolen, including luxury watches worth of EUR 600 thousand. Thieves broke into Silva's home when the Brazilian national team defender strengthened PSG against Nantes in the Ligue 1 competition at the Parc Des Princes Stadium on Saturday, December 22nd 2018. All members of the Silva family were also in the stadium when the incident occurred.

Silva became the second PSG player whose house was burglarized by a thief in the past month. Previously Silva's PSG teammate, Eric Choupo-Moting, his house also burglarized at the end of November 2018. PSG itself is currently dominating the Ligue 1. A 1-0 win over Nantes through Kylian Mbappe's goal made PSG now superior 13 points over Lille at the top of the standings.
