A tree fell down and damaged a civilian's house


IllustrationIllustration - A decades-old tree fell down on a civilian’s house in Majene, West Sulawesi, Sunday, December 30th. Fortunately, there is no casualty, because the owner of the house, Hanneng, quickly ran away when he knew a tree was about to fell on his house.

Hanneng said that it all happened so suddenly. There was no strong wind or anything to warn them about it.

“Fortunately, my family slept in another room so they’re safe. But it did cause panic and shock because of the loud sound of the tree falling down,” he said.

Even so, Hanneng’s house was heavily damaged. The roof and the wall fell down and some of the furniture were destroyed. He admitted that the loss was around hundreds of millions Rupiah.

Hanneng, helped by other civilians, cut down the tree and cleaned the debris of the building. They all thought that it fell down because it was old and weathered, especially after the rain.
