News24xx.com - Some astronomers have found more than a dozen radio signals which come from outside of our galaxy, including some similar radio signals which come from the same location in space. This is the second time astronomers have discovered flashes of intergalactic signals commonly known as fast radio bursts (FRB) originating from the same point, quoted from The Verge, Thursday, January 10th 2019.

This latest discovery is outlined in two papers in the journal Nature, and has successfully attracted the attention of many astronomers. Because this kind of FRB makes astronomers be able to make a number of observations, one of which is to calculate where the signals came from.

By finding the original galaxy, we can guess what object sends the signal to earth. But it should be noted, this is a very difficult thing to do. The reason is, most existing FRBs occur in a very short time. This radio signal 'explosion' occurs in a matter of milliseconds, then disappears and never reappears.

It seems like this FRB appears from a place very far from the earth, maybe billions of light years away. The first FRB was discovered in 2007, and to date, there have been 52 FRB sources that have been recorded.
