News24xx.com - This McGill University study was conducted on mice, which then continued in 42 male and 38 female respondents. As a result, female respondents were more indifferent to the pain. Women also tend not to be stressed if other pains occur in the same place.

"We were very surprised to see the results of studies conducted on mice and humans. Besides being less sensitive, men are also more vulnerable to stress because they do not want to be hurt in the same place" said research leader Jeffrey Mogil, whose results were published in the journal Current Biology.

Respondents aged 18-40 years are carrying out research in two stages. First, all respondents were asked to assess the pain felt in the upper arm. Respondents were asked to rate on a scale of 1-100 even though they had not received any treatment.

After that, the respondents carry out activities that maximize the work of the upper arm muscles. During the activity, the respondent's arm was tied to a blood pressure measuring device for 20 minutes. Respondents then assessed the pain that was felt after the move. The result is only 7 people who assess pain less than 50.

In the second stage, respondents returned to the same research location. At this stage, male respondents rated the pain felt higher than women. Male respondents were also more stressed out of fear of having to do activities similar to the first stage.According to Mogil, the results of this research could be the basis for the development of health sciences.
