Due to hat wave, female tennis player fainted in the middle of the game

The incident happened in Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne Park. At that time, Petkovic was in the lead, with the score being 7-6. However, due to exhaustion, she fell to the ground. Petkovic was also among the finalists of Australia Open 2011.

As cited from Daily Star, when the incident happened, the temperature in the field was around 36-37 Celsius degree. Not many European tennis players can endure such weather.
