Having very rare condition, this baby could only lived for five days before she took her last breath

News24xx.com - So sad, this baby could only live a week after being born. Rylei Arcadia was born on Christmas Eve and she took her last breath on New Year's Eve, because of her anenchepaly disability. The mother, 23-year-old Krsyta Davis, had been told about the diagnosis of her baby since she was 18 weeks old.

The doctor said her birth could had misscarriage, but Krysta decided to continue to keep her baby, even though she knew she could get misscarriage at any time or only have a minute with her daughter. "This decision means we can have the choice to donate their organs so that other mothers can bring their babies home when we ourselves cannot. It's really positive and we do it (pregnancy) like most other parents" Krysta said, quoted by the Daily Mail.

According to the Mayo Clinic website, 75 percent of babies with anencephaly die while they are still in the womb, while others can only survive for several hours or days after being born. Rylei's short life benefited two other babies after her two heart valves were donated and her lungs were given to the research foundation.

Anencephaly is a birth defect in which the brain and skull do not form perfectly when the baby is still in the womb. As a result the brain grows smaller, especially the cerebellum which has the main function of thinking, moving, feeling (touch, see, hear).
