As many as 772,904,991 data of email address leaked online, do yours too?

News24xx.com - Large-scale of public data leakage happened again. This time, more than 87 GB of personal information was leaked and sold online. This personal data collection called 'Collection #1' which was uploaded to Mega cloud services and was first revealed by cyber security researchers and founder of the site Have I Been Pwned, Troy Hunt. In this collection there are 772.904,991 email addresses and 21,222,975 passwords.

Reporting from CNET, on Saturday, January 19th 2019, the data in this collection were collected over a long period of time and came from more than 2,000 different sources. Some email addresses and passwords in the collection are from 2008.

But, it turns out that this collection of 87GB is only a small part of the total data leaked online. As the name implies, this is only the first data collection of the total total of 1TB of data. Besides Collection #1, there is Collection #2 which has the size of 526GB, Collection # 3 of 37GB, Collection # 4 of 178GB and Collection # 5 of 42GB and two other folders with total data of 126GB.

Krebs on Security founder Brian Krebs tried to communicate with hackers who sold access to this data via Telegram. He was also offered to buy a collection of passwords of 4TB at a price of only USD 45.
