KPU started to do countermeasures to stop the spread of hoax about election ahead

News24xx.com - A member of General Elections Commission (KPU) of Gorontalo, Sophian Rahmola, introduced a special team, who work to suppress hoax and fake news regarding the election. This is because there were many attempts to delegitimize the general election organizers and corrode public trust.

“There are currently loads of hoax information on the general elections that are intentionally spread. This is why we took a tactical preventive measure against it,” Sophian said, as cited from Tempo.

The team will spread real contents that will act as clarifications to counter the hoaxes. These contents consist of images and infographics announced by Gorontalo KPU’s social media account and official website.
