Having an imperfect hand, this 19 years old teenager creates a bionic arm from Lego

News24xx.com - David Aguilar (19) has a genetic condition that makes him born with his right hand not perfectly formed, because he wanted to adapt, he began trying to make bionic hands at the age of nine. "I want to ... see myself in the mirror like everyone else, with two normal hands" David recalled as quoted by Reuters, on February 11th 2019.

What David used at the time was his favorite plastic toy, Lego. Bionic hands that David made were initially simple but with each new version the ability of the hand to execute complex movements are increasing.

The latest Lego bionic hand created by David can move flexibly to his joints and grasp objects. The teenager who is now studying biotechnology at Universitat Internacional de Catalunya, Spain, have aspiration of making cheap bionic hands for those in need.

On his Youtube channel, David presented bionic hands which he named MK followed by numbers, like the super hero Iron Man who becomes his inspiration. David wants to go forward so that people do not underestimate people with disability.
