Again, Karl Marx’s tombstone in England was damaged by unknown people

News24xx.com - The action of destruction on the headstone of the philosopher and father of the ideology of communism, Karl Marx, in the City of London, England, happened again. Now the tomb was scribbled using red paint. As reported by Reuters on Sunday, February 17th 2019, Marx's tomb in the Highgate cemetery looks full words of scorn. The words written include "architect of genocide" and "doctrine of hatred".

The incident happened less than two weeks later, after on February 4th Marx's gravestone which became one with his wife and grandchildren was damaged by unknown people. At that time visitors damaged Marx's tomb using blunt objects, which resulting damage in parts of his name in the tomb.

Responding to this, the funeral management of the Highgate Charitable Foundation expressed its great disappointment. They declare the culprit as a heartless fool. Visitors to Marx's tomb, Maxwell Blowfield (31), claimed to be surprised by what he saw happened to the tomb of Marx. He felt that this was not necessary even by those who opposed Marx.

The incident was reported to the London Metropolitan Police. However, they stated that until now no one had been arrested in connection with the destruction. The granite gravestone was deliberately moved because the condition was initially alarming. In 1956, the British Communist Party reached into a pocket to restore Marx's tomb, by setting up a 3.7-meter high monument.
