News24xx.com - The world health organization (WHO) sets addiction to playing games as a mental disorder. Based on the 11th International Classified Disease (ICD) document issued by WHO, this disorder is called gaming disorder.

Gaming disorder by WHO is described as a persistent and repetitive game-playing behavior, thus putting aside other life interests. And this is also occured to a boy in the Philippines.

At that time, a mother is forced to feed her 13-year-old son during his marathon 48-hour gaming session at an internet cafe when he refused to leave the internet cafe to eat. The woman named Lilybeth Marvel, 37, says she became worried two years ago when her son, Carlito Garcia began staying late at an internet cafe in Nueva Ecija in the Philippines.

Carlito becomes agitated and cannot even bring his eyes from the screen or hands off the keyboard as his mother feeds him. Ms Marvel seems deeply concerned for Carlito as she says she is worried he may not eat until the following day. She also asks the child if he wants to take vitamins that his grandmother has sent because she is worried he is becoming malnourished.

The teenager has skipped school and sits alone 'like a zombie' playing his favourite battle royale game on the computer, 'Rules of Survival'. Ms Marvel who work as massage therapist and her husband, a security guard also named Carlito, removed their children from school while they try to deal with his addiction. The concerned mother has now pleaded online for help.  She said that trying to ban him had not worked - and he would find ways to sneak away to the internet cafe.

Ms Marvel added, "My husband and I decided that our child should stop schooling first because of his addiction. Now we're trying our best to manage the situation, but it is still difficult."
