Microsoft stops Windows 10 updates in Intel Microsoft stops Windows 10 updates in Intel -  Microsoft will not provide the latest Windows 10 updates (Creator Update) to PC or laptop using an Intel Atom Processor Clover Trail.

Although most laptops that use the processor most comes from the days of Windows 8, Microsoft is actually still pretty good by giving a free update to Windows 10.

But the update is now at a standstill, because the problem of incompatible drivers.

"Creator updates require additional hardware support to provide the very best experience when it gets the update Windows features 10, namely Windows 10 Creator Update," said a Microsoft spokesman.

"This system is no longer supported by Intel, and without sufficient driver support, they will be unable to move the Windows Update without Creator 10 impact performance potential," he added.

But Microsoft is not immediately forget the devices with the processors. They still offer Windows 10 Anniversary Update for device berprosesor Intel Clover Trail, and promising it will support security updates until March 2023.

When first introduced, the devices with the Intel Atom processor offers good battery life for a small and inexpensive devices with OS Windows 8.1.

However, because their performance is limited, most consumers choose buy devices with the Intel Core processors.

Intel then gave up and stopped the development of the Intel Atom in December 2016, including the ranks of Intel processors for mobile devices, as quoted from The Verge, Friday, July 21 2017.
