Mario Balotelli celebrated his goal with Instagram stories

News24xx.com - Mario Balotelli made a unique celebration when he scored a beautiful goal for Olympique Marseille. He aired his goal celebration live on Instagram Stories. Balotelli scored the opening goal as Marseille won 2-0 over St. Etienne, on Monday, March 4th 2019.

In the 12th minute, utilizing Thauvin's accurate corner kick, Super Mario made a heading that could not be held back by Stephane Ruffier, the keeper. After scoring the goal, he recorded and aired the celebration he did with his colleagues through Instagram Story. He took his cellphone at the cameraman near the goal post.

Balotelli seems to have planned to use Instagram Stories to record his goal celebration. The thing is, the former AC Milan, Inter Milan and Manchester City player was seen waiting for some of his friends to gather first before lifting his cellphone into the air and started recording.

It was Balotelli's fourth goal with a Marseille costume from the six games he plays. The 28-year-old recently joined Les Olympiad from OGC Nice last January. He was bought for EUR 20 million and immediately got a place in Marseille's first team. Balotelli was not the first player to use a cellphone to celebrate goals. A few years ago, Francesco Totti celebrated the goal by selfie in front of the Curva Sud.
