News24xx.com - A number of Japanese tourist spots, such as temples or restaurants, start to forbid entry for non-Japanese visitors. They do this because bad behaviors from foreign tourists are damaging their businesses.

One of the sites that ban foreign tourists is Nanzoin temple in Sasaguri, Fukuoka prefecture. The temple hangs signs in 12 languages, telling visitors that they are not welcome.

According to the temple’s chief, some foreign visitors behaved badly, like climbing on roofs and splashing around in a sacred waterfall. This causes the number of regular Japanese worshippers to dwindle.

Another spot that bans non-Japanese visitor is a traditional izakaya bar in Kyoto. They start telling groups of visitors that the bar is fully booked. This is because foreign tourists often bring outside food and use plates as ashtrays.
