News24xx.com - Robert Lewandowski made a record in Bayern Munich's victory over Vfl Wolfsburg. Lewandowski is listed as the most prolific foreign striker in the Bundesliga. Lewandowski contributed two goals when Bayern beat Wolfsburg 6-0. In the match at the Allianz Arena on Saturday, March 9th 2019, the Polish striker scored in the 37th and 85th minutes.

Thanks to his two goals, Lewandowski now equals the number of goals from Luka Jovic (Frankfurt) at the top of the list of the 2018/2019 German League top scorer. Both of them now have collected 15 goals. For Lewandowski himself, there is a record that he carved thanks to his two goals against Wolfsburg. The 30-year-old striker is now listed as the most fertile foreign player in the Bundesliga with 197 goals, passing Claudio Pizarro with 195 goals.

From the total goals in the Bundesliga, 123 of them were made by Lewandowski with Bayern. He is now third in Bayern's all-time top scorer list. Only Gerd Mueller (365) and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge (162) have more goals in the Bundesliga than Lewandowski. Lewandowski was determined to break the record hold by the Bayern legends.

"They are truly legends and now my name is among them. That makes me very happy" Lewandowski was quoted as saying by the club's official website. "How many more goals to get to second place? That is the next step. I have to achieve it"
