News24xx.com - The World Health Organization has identified the country with the best air quality. According to the WHO, the cleanest air is breathed in Finland.

According to WHO experts, the content of dust microparticles in Finland is on average six micrograms per cubic meter - this is the lowest in the world.

Air quality in Estonia, Sweden, Canada, Norway and Iceland is approaching this indicator.

“The highest concentrations of small particles, that is, the worst air quality, are recorded in the countries of the Middle and Far East, as well as in Africa. In these countries, the concentration of small particles in the air is more than ten times higher than in the countries leading in the rating”, - the researchers emphasized.

According to the WHO, the lowest air quality is recorded in Uganda, Mongolia, Qatar and Cameroon.

The index is based on data from measuring stations from approximately 2500 different locations in one hundred different countries of the world, collected from 2008 to 2016.

Earlier, the World Health Organization announced that 7 million people die every year due to air pollution. Of particular concern is the situation in the countries of Asia and Africa with low incomes of local residents. This group accounts for 90% of deaths.
